I made this card for my granddaughter's 17th birthday. When she was much younger, she was a die-hard Spongebob Squarepants fan! She had a stuffed Spongebob, and he went everywhere she went. I'm hoping she'll see the humor in this "retro" card I made for her, and not think that Grandma's gone off the deep end, to Bikini Bottom!
I die-cut the pineapple base from the Orange Blossoms PP, & the green polka-dot PP for the tops. I created the door from two layered CS ovals, with the bottom trimmed off. The doorknob is made from a punched flower, a small circle punch, & a 1/4" hole punch. Same for the portholes--two layered CS circle punches, popped up with dimensionals. I fussy-cut the stovepipe after "researching" way too many Spongebob's House images on Google....lol! The sentiment for the sign was stamped on light orange CS & trimmed around with the decorative scissors (deckle edge, I think). I added some 'rivets' around the portholes and the door frame with a blue gel glitter pen.
I have become addicted to these Sizzix Jen Long Fold-A-Long die sets! To date, I have 5 sets (pineapple, cactus, panda, owl, and Mason jar) and have a few more on my wish list! They are so fun! (And no, I'm not getting any royalties, lol!)

I think this is just as delightful and fun as can be for a 17-year-old who I know still has a place in her heart for Sponge Bob Square Pants. Great colors and design Liz- you really thought of every single detail, right down to the stove pipe. How fun! I know Emily will think she has the best grandma around when she opens this wonderful card from you Liz! ~Karen.
