This poppy collage is for the Tea Party this week.
It was good to read and view all the beautiful collage and mixed media work by Mary Delaney. Our favourite crafty thing has been going on for such a long time.
For this card I stamped the Darkroom Door image twice using Brilliance Graphite Black and using Misti to get a nice impression.
I coloured the background with water colour pencils and then coloured the second image of the poppies. Fussy cut the poppies out and layered them up onto the background. Finished off with a bit of gel glitter pens and added the sentiment.
Hope you enjoy.

Great image and beautifully colored. The back ground with it's 5-cent stamp made me smile - I remember back 60 years ago when postage went from 3 cents to FIVE cents for a first class letter - oh how my mother complained about getting ripped off by the postal service!! LOL Thanks for the memory, Helen.

I agree with all those before me, Helen! This is a perfect collage for Mrs. D! I love the bg with the script and the postage in the corner. The sentiment couldn’t be more fitting. And those poppies are coloured beautifully. Thanks for bringing your work to the Art Blooms gallery!
