From the title of this challenge, I thought maybe this was a Watergate challenge. It's all on tape, unless it's been erased, of course.
In typical Jean fashion, I jumped into this technique without thinking it through. I'd recommend thinking about how wide your card it and how much do you want the different colors of inks to cover the card. I didn't and had some white space on the right that I didn't like. Otherwise, this technique is very cool and right up my alley.
I used these DOx inks in order: old paper, bundled sage, peeled paint, cracked pistachio, lucky clover, forest moss. You can barely see the old paper at the top because I added it last. Again, too much white space. I used masking tape but I think painters tape would be better. I was worried about pulling paper up after burnishing. All in all, I really like this card.
Did I plan to make this a leaf card? Oh no, are you kidding? I hadn't used these leaf dies yet so gave them a whirl. I also cut two leaves and then trimmed around them for embellishment from a textured background I had (the technique with baking soda and tea granules). I used two washi tapes and a small greeting.

I love the die cut leaves silhouette on the side..that is so cool looking. And the washi on the right was meant to be there...love the array of colors on this.

Oh, yes, this was right in your lane! Love how all the individual elements slipped into this interesting card. You require us to look beyond and that is a very good thing. Fav’d in my book!

I'm glad to know it works so well with DOX. I use masking tape and have never had it stick either on glossy card as per the tutorial, or normal card which is actually what I generally use. But I usually press it against my jeans a couple of times to reduce some of the tack. I know what you mean about the length of tape/ width of card/ white space. And it's hard to do longer pieces of tape without it sticking to itself. Beautiful leaf overlay and leaves, and I really like the twiggy washi.

Great card and love your "design" process - sounds a lot like mine. Love the end product and how you were able to mask extra white space in a creative way :-)
