I made this card for this week's Teapot Challenge. Polly is our hostess and she has a super challenge called, "Stencil Salutations." We are sending cards of encouragement to Cammie who is facing Stage 4 cancer.
I stamped this large floral image by Concord & 9th along the left side of the scalloped rectangle die cut. Then I placed the polka dot stencil over the floral image and stenciled in the polka dots using silver pigment ink. I colored the image with copic markers. The hope die cut is layered over purple cardstock to create a bit of a shadow so it stands out a little more with this busy floral image.
I know what it is like to hear the news Cammie did, and I know how much these cards mean at a time like this so I hope this encourages Cammie to receive so much paper love in the mail. Each day that we wake up we are alive so it is important to behave as if we are alive. I wish Cammie all the best in this journey. Thank you Polly for this terrific challenge and thank you for looking! ~Karen.

Love your big sparkly hope! How encouraging that word is. I love your large dot stencilling. It makes a great background for those gorgeously colored blooms. Love your statement about celebrating being alive!

What a beauty, Karen. Love the way you coloured the flowers with the shading, reminds me I need to get my (metaphorical) skates on a dig the garden border and plant some carmine California poppy seeds I have. Your dotted stencil background is so pretty. And I am sure it is extra encouraging for Cammie to receive a testimony of Hope from someone who has walked in the same shoes.
