I started this card without a definite end in sight. I cut a panel of bristol paper to 4x4", because the image would fit on it. I stamped my image, die cut the circle from that for the spotlight technique, and die cut a circle mat from dark green cardstock. I colored the image within the circle, occasionally putting the "frame" portion around it to make sure I knew what I was coloring. Finally, I matted my colored image.
This was about the point where I realized I should have planned farther ahead. Where could I put a greeting??? I wanted to use the "You're my favorite human" from the "Wreath Builder" set, but had no place it fit. So, I took a cue from an older SCS sketch (I forget which one exactly), and added my image panel to the side of an A2 coral cardstock piece. I went ahead & glued on my colored circle piece, while I figured out the greeting. I ended up stamping it on a strip of vellum, cutting it into a banner shape, and stapling it with my Tiny Attacher & 2 staples I'd "gilded" with gold leafing paint a long time ago. I decided just to leave it at that & adhered it to a white card base. I plan to give this to my mom for Mother's Day this year.
