I first "primed" a panel of black cardstock with watercolor ground. I knew I wanted to paint the flower & leaves with my pearlescent watercolors. I had gotten the full set of paints as a Christmas gift last year, and had yet to do anything but swatch them. Time to use them! I let the ground dry for about 36 hours (the directions say 24-48 hours). I heat embossed with Princess Gold powder, and painted the flower & leaves, then heat set the wet paint to dry it. I die cut them with the coordinating dies, and set those aside.
I stamped & heat embossed my greeting on a strip of vellum. I ran that through my Sticker Maker, and adhered it to a panel of patterned paper. I used liquid glue to adhere my flower & leaves. I added the glue just to the center of the flower, to let the petals pop up a bit for some added dimension. Finally I matted the panel with black, & adhered it to a white card base. All that, & I still had 6 minutes to spare on the hour time limit.

Love that gorgeous rich pearlescent red you used for the poinsettia. It looks fabulous against the text patterned paper. And I really like the sentiment being on vellum. Thanks so much for making a card for my VSN challenge.
