For Anita's VSN Challenge to use tulips. I have too many tulips to choose from as it is my favorite flower!
I decided to embrace the bright In Colors 2018-20 that will be retiring at the beginning of June and use some of my supplies. While I had everything out, I made two cards.
This stamp has a lovely sentiment with the tulips, but I didnât want the words this time. I laid the stamp on its back, covered over the sentiment with a post it note, tapped the versamark ink pad on the rubber and removed the post it note. I could then make the impression without the sentiment. Heat embossed the image in black. Watercolored in Grapefruit Grove and Call Me Clover with a little neutral on the newspaper wrap. I only have a marker in GG so I scribbled it on an acrylic block to pick up ink to watercolor. When the image was dry, I lighted drew on some ink in spots and spread it with my aqua painter. Applied Wink of Stella to the tulips and leaves for a finishing touch. Heat embossed the birthday greeting and layered with a second die-cut piece for a little lift.
Fun cards to make. Thanks for looking!

I always love seeing this image in the gallery, Diane. I don't have it in my stamp collection but always love it. And I love what you have done with it here. Both cards are so lovely. Beautiful color combo too!
