After watching several ways to create knots and trying some for myself, I ended up not using any string knots but instead used the knots in the Hardwood bg stamp. It was actually the first thing I thought of when I read the challenge.
I water colored my image with an aqua painter and ink pads. For the sky, I used a sponge. I also sponged the frame with blue onto vanilla cs since I don't have any buckaroo blue cs. I stamped the hardwood bg stamp in Crumb cake onto a Crumb cake panel and sponged edges. Cb is suede. Thanks for stopping by! ~Roberta

I've seen pelicans in zoos, some day I would love to see them in the wild in real life. Lovely image. I'd love to be able to get to the seaside, but it's not on at the moment. Beautiful card, I like the tranquil, peaceful feeling it generates.

What a gorgeous masculine card this is Roberta. Your expert water coloring brings this image to life so beautifully and the wood grain background is fantastic! ~Karen.
