I was gifted the beautiful floral stamp set in this card and made this card to thank my friend.
I had fun stamping and heat embossing these beautiful blooms, aren't they fabulous? Then I had fun watercoloring the blooms adding lots of layers of watercolor to build the color. Originally, I planned to do a light blue color around the blooms but decided to go with a darker blue to make them pop.
After I was happy with the watercolor, I decided to add more detail and depth with colored pencils. Sometimes I was concerned I might have gone too far! But I like how it turned out. I decided I wanted to frame it so embossed a frame with the woodgrain ef and mounted the frame on the watercolor panel. I added this to a white card base and added a strip of the watercolor (that had to be trimmed) to the inside too.
I heat embossed the sentiment and added some sequins to complete the card.
Thanks for looking!

Gorgeous colors and flowers, especially with the added color pencil details, Catherine! So beautiful with the blue embossed background and the sequins embellishments.

Ahh, your watercoloring is gorgeous, Catherine. Love the wood grain e.f. Fun to use the piece you cut off to use on the inside. Waste not, want not, lol...Great touch!

This gorgeous card is bloomin fabulous Catherine. What a show stopper too! I so admire your water coloring skills and you really showcased them beautifully here. I would not have thought to use colored pencils to add more details to the images so thank you for the great inspiration on this. I love the dark blue background that makes these blooms pop and I adore the dark blue wood grain frame around the entire image. Again, using the blue is not something I would have thought of and it works magnificently here. I know your friend adores this gorgeous card you made especially for her Catherine. Wow! ~Karen.
