Thank you so much for this challenge idea, Sue! The book I am reading right now doesn't have an interesting cover, but then I remembered a fascinating trio of books with wonderful covers I found back in the early 90's. The first in the trio is called Griffin & Sabine: An Extraordinary Correspondence. I tried to capture the overall effect of a notebook with a postcard on the cover. I stamped the French Script in Versamark for the background, sponged extra crushed curry on the postcard to age it, cut out a couple of stamps from some Designer BG paper and added a real AirMail sticker I had on hand.
If you aren't familiar with these books (The others are Sabine's Notebook and The Golden Mean) I highly recommend them!

Oh my, Beth, I am smiling here. I've never read the books but I remember reading about them. Love your take on that beautiful cover. I was going to say what a cool Air Mail stamp. My goodness, I have loads of those stickers left because some time ago they told me at the post office that there was no point putting them on any more, as it's all airmail these days.

This series sounds wonderful....I just looked and our library has them..will add to my list. You got the script bg perfect and the look of all those symbols is spot on. I like how you added the little clip on top. Terrific card!
