Tickle a Teapotter Week! Sue is our hostess and she challenged us to use the cover of a book we're reading as inspiration for our card.
Well, I've been thinking about dusting off an old Christian historical romance book that is set in 1918 during the flu pandemic.
So I found it along with the book that came before it in the series, Ramshackle Rose, and I'm now rereading that one first. I first read it back in 2004 when it was published. It's set in Virginia, 1897, and it's absolutely delightful.
On the cover is Rose's leaning fence. She would like to straighten it, but that would disturb her beautiful Morning Glory and she couldn't have that!
Ramshackle Rose, by Cathy Marie Hake, can still be found in e-book format. The physical copies probably can be found in libraries and eBay.

Adorable image, Jen and it even has the requisite Morning glories climbing up the poles. ( an a whole garden of blooms on the bg DP) Cute recreation of that book cover - I popped over to Amazon to see it!

Great colouring. Great paper to go with your sweet image. The bare feet would definitely be me, LOL. They both sound like an interesting and enjoyable read. I've been wanting to re-read the Anne of Green Gables books, but I know the later ones in the wartime will make me cry.

Love this Sarah Kay image, Jen, your colouring has really brought her to life, so beautifully done! I do not know of these books but will check them out on Goodreads. Thanks for playing~

What a precious image, I immediately though of my Holly Hobby craft colouring days. Your card is precious Jen and any Teapotter would love to receive it. I'm adding the titles to my "must read list".
