This card is for Jackie's challenge Fairy Alphabet. When I saw this challenge it fascinated me and so I decided to have a look. I couldn't believe my eyes, what a gorgeous original and totally delightful challenge. Thank you for thinking of this Jackie.
I love this card so much even with a few little glitches that I'm going to post it to myself and keep it for ever.......well maybe not, I think a granddaughter may get it lol.
This card took two days to make, in theory anyway. First I found my letter, that was a hard choice my first name is Margaret and my last name is Mortimer so I went with "M"
The Mallow plant is a weed in the southern states particularly Tassy where I grew up but up here it is far too humid for it.
I spent a whole day thinking about what I would do then I lined up all the stamps I was going to use.
I had to cut the greeting apart as it is actually a Christmas greeting but I thought it would be perfect for this card. You've got to believe in fairy's.
I started the timer and did the slap and squirt with ironing aid and the distress inks. I stamped the fairy image with StazOn Jet Black onto the masking vinyl and then left them both to dry overnight stopping my digital timer at that point.
This morning I complete the card by stamping then masking the fairy stamping the background plants then stamping the mallow flowers by inking up the stamp with distress markers.
I coloured the fairy staying as close to the Mallow Fairy colours as I could. Stamped and heat embossed the greeting then added the varies rhinestones and put the whole thing together and that's all folks, thank you for looking
Cheers Marg
