Itâs my DHâs birthday this weekend and I usually buy him a card...yep I know itâs a disgrace but I either donât have the right stamps, the right sentiment/words or Iâm slack at making him one on time.
This year things are different. I havenât been able to go to the shops to buy him a card and I have a lot of time on my hands, so heâs in luck. He always says he would love a handmade one, so here it is.
As we are self isolating during this crazy time I thought Iâd add some fun to his day. I would have used a real mask (used)....if we had any LOL, so this is the next best thing, courtesy of the net. Fussy cut and Party invite added.
The back panel was embossed and black ink swiped. Two tags were cut. One stamped and the other journalled.....mainly because I didnât have enough stickers or space lol....and yes it is meant to be wonky at the bottom.
Inside it says something affectionate....after all we are physical distancing....and I said that I would share my last mask with him right now, if we had some.
I hope no one takes offence that Iâm making fun with the current virus but we need some fun right now, and this card may be one to keep for our grandkids.
TFL. Keep safe and well and help stop the spread.

What a fantastic card Jayne! I love it and your little mask turned out so well! Yay for the new sewing machine. Your hubby is going to love this except for the "No hugs, kisses or..." LOL How very creative and artsy and made on so little sleep! Amazing! fav'd

Oh Jayne, we do indeed need fun and humour. Better to laugh than cry. Although I'm sure your DH would have preferred a homemade card under other circumstances than pure necessity, I bet he loves this and it's certainly one for one of your albums afterwards. Is it 1.5 m there? It's 2 here - I had to measure something in work the other day to make sure it fully complied. Being me, of course there was a tape-measure in my handbag, LOL. And now they're saying maybe it should be even more.

Jayne, this is so very clever! What a great gift that glitzy mask, and I'm sure he will enjoy all the "rules" as well! You've outdone it in every way...originality, humor, and keeping up with the times!
