My friend Emily is a master preserver and her BD is in 5 days! Talk about perfect timing for Carla's Garden Seed Challenge. This vintage seed packet has been on my bulletin board for 35 years! Dolled it up with a stamped mailing label, fussy cut and stuck onto another one with sticky side up to hold the seeds. Gave it a coat of matte varnish to make sure they stay put. Pleated the larger label down to size after embossing the sentiment. Made an extra long "Emily" Dymo label and ran the edges through a Sizzix EF. Try that trick if you have one.

This made me smile as we were just discussing planting tomatoes in work today. I had to put one of the guys on speakerphone to our upline who is working from home, and was saying to her that at least she could lavish extra care on her tomato plants. They must be tough seeds, I always find them growing anywhere I use compost from my compost bin. They frame the face beautifully. Neat idea embossing the Dymo label. I will indeed try it.

That is some piece of ephemera! I think this special card was the perfect time to part with it. You crack me up Lori...just like the face on that tomato...she'll love this!

I love the way you rescue bits and pieces and turn them into fabulous art, Lori! Using an embossing folder with the Dymo label is quite the clever trick. Thanks for treating us to your fun creation and playing in my challenge.
