For today's MIX challenge - Polly wants us to celebrate Spring.
First I stamped the outline stamps for the tulip, stem and leaf from Exotic Tulips by Altenew, using Azurite and Hunter Green inks, on water color paper.
Then I stamped the solid stamps for the leaf, stem and tulips with Ranger Distress Broken China and Mowed Lawn.
To give it a water color look - I then spritzed over the tulip with my water mister which made the Distress Inks blend and dried it with my heat tool.
I added the Hello die cut and then black splatter using a watery black water color paint.
Some of my daffodils are budding and I've cut a few and brought them in where they bloom in the indoor heat - I love seeing them on my kitchen windowsill! Spring IS coming!
Thanks for the happy spring theme today Polly - I think we all need something cheerful in these times!

Gorgeous! I love the watercolor effect...what did we ever do before Distress inks! I like the bit of splattering on this. Thanks for being part of our cheery Spring gallery Julia!

Tulips are a sure sign of spring and your blue ones are gorgeous, Julia. Your multiple stampings of the tulips and their foliage take precision....and you did it magnificently!
