For Janelle's Supply Dash MIXed media challenge. I grabbed a book page, gesso, my book of stencils and my box of Gelatos and can of fixative. Everything else was on my desk. I enjoyed making this so much - the last two weeks have been super-busy and yesterday was just a FUN day stamping and napping.
I gessoed my book page, and when dry, stencilled using Visible Image Time Tunnel and gelatos. Softened them with a baby-wipe and sprayed with fixative. Added some stamping with an HA text stamp and Ranger's Archival blue.
Everything else - the star had been used as a mask the day before when making a sample for an upcoming challenge. I'd used a spray diffuser and J Herbin Bouton D'Or ink, and I kept the mask to use for a future project - not expecting to use it so quickly.
The poppies were also left over from a sample of an upcoming challenge - Brusho Acrylic Mist scarlet on old sheet music, stamped with black and fussy-cut. The black leaf is MariLynn's burnt paper bag technique. It, the foil star, the birthday sentiment (MFT, cut from black card with clear packing tape over it), the little crow (Rubbernecker, I'm pretty sure), the fibre and the sentiment tag all came from the dishes on my desk full of oddments.
It looked a bit spartan on a plain white base, so with my stencil book at hand I pulled out the homemade one I use for bokeh, and used that to draw the circles on the base with a black pen.
