So I've been wanting to make this card after seeing something similar made by Birgit that she linked to the CAS Water Color Challenge. I loved the deep green achieved with Brushos on the clover.
And I needed one more St. Pat's card to send to my cousin who is in assisted living where they are not allowing visitors now due to the Corona Virus.
So I grabbed my brushos, watercolor paints and Mowed Lawn Distress Ink to create this card.
I sprinkled Emerald Green Brushos over a panel of watercolor card, spritzed with water and dried it with my heat tool. Then I die cut as many shamrocks as I could get out of the panel.
I inked the reeds stamp in the background with Distress Ink - spritzed with water and pressed it onto the watercolor panel. I adhered the shamrocks with foam dots and then added black watercolor splatter.
Then I adhered the panel to the card base that was cut with Noted Scalloped Square Die.
I love how this came out and now I can make several more for next year since I cut out so many shamrocks!
Have a great weekend everyone - stay safe and healthy!

Beautiful shamrocks AND scalloped shaped card. I love the dark green. This is sure to be a bright spot in your cousin's day with no visitors....nasty coronavirus.

I love it when mixed media cards are CAS to show that mixed media doesn't have to = messy. The greens are gorgeous and the shamrocks look great popped over the reeds!

What a fabulous St. Patrick's Day card to make for your cousin who is no longer able to have visitors for awhile. I love the texture and depth of color you achieved in your shamrocks with the Brusho powders and the scalloped card base adds to the fun Irish feel of this card. Fav'd! ~Karen.
