Thank you so much, Julie for bringing Colleen's Pinterest Board to the IC this week. Like Alice in Wonderland, I fell BAD down the hole (Quiltspirations).
SO much creativity...
I actually appreciated that I am not a quilt artist! That I could just sit and drink in all that amazing art...I would be obsessed...does anyone else feel that way?
It was Patchwork 2015 that sparked my card. I knew I had the Memory Box die and a recent AI scrap from a previous project. Once I had die cut the squares and had them glued in place, I went looking for a sentiment...which I found in the Visible Image set. Added a bit of mustard sc to balance the bold pinks and reds.
I'm not a Pinterest gal. I'll only visit for challenges. Not because I don't like it, but because I would get lost in it! When I realized my cards were getting pinned years ago, I thought I better sign up and get my name in my name. My one board is titled: I so don't wanta start any boards.....
I fear I am falling into the time grabber that is beloved by millions, billions maybe????? And then SCS began pinning....oh, don't get me started!
Thanks again ladies for the inspiration...

Love this, Susan! the little squares in the hot colors are real attention grabbers. I agree..Pinterest can be the black hole of time. I usually only look for a few minutes here & there, on my iPad right before I fall asleep. Scrolling does that to me, lol.

When I see a true cas card it makes me smile. Smiling here. Love what you did with the inspiration piece, Susan. It really was a treat to view all those beautiful pieces of art called quilts. TFS

Oh I feel your pain...I'll check out your board. I have four or five, but truly, don't visit very often. I love this CAS 'pieced' card. Wonderful wonderful white space to reflect on, beautiful AI pieces, perfect sentiment. We're neighbors!!!!!!! I don't know how we chose something, it was all super.

WOW - the stark simplicity of design certainly stands in juxtaposition to the depth of meaning in that sentiment. I am in awe of the feelings this evokes in me!

yes, I do not go into fabric stores often for that very reason. I love the colors here and that you let those pops of color have all the white space too

Every little piece of us is important...the same goes for scraps! Simply beautiful work, Susan. Never pinned anything, but the site always seems to comes up whenever I Google something. I pass more than partake.
