I am finally caught up on the Alphabet Challenge...well, except for today's letter of Q. This is my entry for the letter R. I did the reverse spotlight technique as well as rock and roll on the leaves.
I thought a family of owls on tree branches would be fun for the reverse spotlighting technique.
First, I stamped my tree branches, using my mirror image stamp to stamp the one coming from the right. I stamped my owls and then added the leaves randomly around the edge. I used the rock and roll technique to get multi colors of green on my leaves. Then I used the circle framelits to cut the spotlights for each owl.
I colored the entire panel using Copics. Then, for fun, I used favorite colors of my family for the three owls. I heat embossed the sentiment for some shine.
This was a lot of fun to make. I highly recommend the many tutorials available right here on SCS.
Thanks for looking!

What a delightful card this is Catherine. You did a wonderful job employing all the techniques into this card, and I loved reading that you used your family's favorite colors for the reverse spotlights. What a hoot this is (pun intended!). ~Karen.
