I made this card for Teapot Challenge MMTPT605 "Kintsugi Does It" suggested by Jean. I had never heard of "Kintsugi" before. I looked it up and read more about it, too. Very interesting! Thanks Jean!
Since Kintsugi was new to me, I decided to use lots of things in my stash that I haven't used for years. (Imagine that...lol) I used a brass Dreamweaver's Stencil and Paste mixed with blue, purple & pink alcohol inks to create my vase. My Paste was very old, so my vase ended up with lots of texture, too. Oh well, just a different look.
When it dried, I used FineTec GMBH water color pearls in Arabic gold to create my "cracks." I also used Smooch Accent Ink to make the gold stand out more. I also added some little gold flowers. I darkened the edges of the cracks with a platinum sparkly gel pen.
On the fern DP layer, I added 3 gromlets using my Crop-a-dile and then glued blue gems in the centers. I glued my vase on DP and stamped sentiment. Then, I glued this onto gold Stardream paper, and deep blue card stock, tying gold ribbon around these layers and then glued onto completed panel onto card.
It was fun playing with lots of old toys and supplies. Thanks for a great challenge Jean!

WOW - love the collection of colours in the artistically mended vase. Beautiful fern leaves used for the background and the added shine from the gold accents.

I saw this as a thumbnail in the gallery and thought this was a photograph of a genuine ginger jar. Gracie you sure naild the challenge and I love how you brought all this together using old goodies and tools. I could sit and look at this for the longest time.
