When I saw the sketch challenge I knew I wanted to make something. I love layers. I also love stitching and butterflies and quotes, and of course bling.
I intended to use the sketch for a scrapbook page and may still do that. I'm working my way through some panels that I made last year for various challenges. I wanted to use a panel that I made for an alpha friends challenge last year. Melody had challenged us to create a BG using hand sanitiser and ink. My tag was die cut out of the panel I made at that time using that technique.
The butterfly I had also made last year for a negative space challenge and another one where you had to use scraps. I had kept all of my scraps from another die cut and simply stuck them inside the butterfly negative space. Again, this Butterfly had been sitting in my stash for some months. The butterfly was, of course, much bigger but I first die cut it down and then finally punched a smaller one out. I left all the quirky bits on there.
The twine bow had also been sitting in my stash. Another SCS friend sent me a video last year on how to make double and triple bows. This was my first attempt and I've waiting to use it. I love texture too.
After sticking everything down and adding the quote it felt bare to me....I'm a filler LOL, so out came the stitched stamps and off I go stamping. Ah much better to me.
I may not send this card. I'm about to try my hand at making a junk journal and this may find its way into that one day.
TFL. Happy day

Terrific Texture!!! Love all the bits and pieces and that faux stitching is so cool! I thought you doodled that. Great way to make use of your stash...I see a junk journal on the horizon!

What a lovely card this is Jayne. I am amazed by all the techniques you used in this one card and by the glorious stitching you did too. How fun! I love reading you may use this design for a scrapbook layout too - fun! ~Karen.
