When I was about 12, there was a super cool gift shop called Carosel gifts that had candles, black light posters, incense, and all things flower power-hippie like. I tried desperately to make my pink gingham little girl bedroom more "cool and groovy". Looking back now, I would have to say I failed miserably. This card was inspired by some of the garish, ugly things I bought for my room. The center image is fussy cut and popped up and the dots are given a little dimension with liquid pearls.
I hope you find some happy childhood memories and play along.
TFL, Francie

I'm sure your bedroom became bright and colorful, and happy as your cards are now!!

Very fun! And beautifully colored. Nice white highlights! This reminds me of my very first "home decor" project. I painted my square, glass overhead light fixture with these colors, every shape lined in black. I had wild wallpaper like that, too, and that shade of green on my walls. Bet we're close to the same age!

Oh I bet back then you loved every bit of what you brought to that room and what a great card to represent all the fun cool groovy stuff you put in your room.

This card is really cool and groovy too, Francie. Your room was definitely a One-of-a-kind! I'm just wondering how you could concentrate on doing homework, or read, or even get to sleep with so much going on on the walls~

I love your bright beautiful card and the way it pops!!! That store sounds very famiiar. I remember a store like that with candles, glow in the dark things, those things that floated. We must be of the same age. Thanks for sharing your memory, I enjoyed it.
