L-leftovers O-oval and the V-E are in my sweet girl's name. Finally following through on an idea I've had since I started weaving. I am left with lots of snippets of yarn from trimming extra length off. I couldn't just throw those away! I sorted out a gallon bagful and decided to mimic a project from Evie's previous bedroom. My son and DIL had purchased a wood wall hanging with her name in script and I made large felt flowers matching her bedding that they used to make a swag. It's not currently on display since they've moved. Anyway. I started with the oval shape in green yarn and snipped some leaves. I then rolled pieces of yarn to make flowers and then "wrote" her name and pressed down yarn. Lots of love went into this little project for my sweet girl.
*eta-I don't spin my own yarn, I weave yarn and rovings into wall hangings

Gail, that is just beautiful. So clever and creative. What a great way to use leftover snippets. Those, I'm afraid, I throw out but over the years I've knit DH at least three jumpers made with leftovers from multiple other projects.
