Card for this week's Teapot Challenge, Bright and Cheery. Our colorful cards will brighten the days for a young girl who is spending time in the hospital.
I'm not sure what to call the technique I used to create the background--I can never get a napkin and plastic wrap to cooperate for the Felted Napkin technique! I glued this napkin to a piece of cardstock with ModPodge! It gives it a wrinkled, sort-of faux silk look. I "pulled" some of the colors from the napkin for the butterflies and CS layers.
The sentiment is stamped in VersaMark and heat-embossed with the Black Sparkle EP. It has a lot of colors in it, when you tip it into the light.

Ooh, so bright and cheerful. I love the napkin and the butterflies in matching colors are so delightful. This will sure brighten a hospital room.

Super fun, bright colors! What a great card to cheer up Railyn. Great idea to use the black sparkly ep on your sentiment. It looks so cool. I have that ep but have never used it.

Oh, phew, I am so glad to read that I am not the only one who can't get the felted napkin to work. I used to think that it must be a difference between the type of cling-wrap available here! I've resorted to spray mount, with the same slightly wrinkled look you mention. Beautiful napkin, lovely card. Love those big solid butterflies.
