I made this card for RaiLynn, Teapot Challenge, who has to spend a lot of time in the hospital for cancer treatments. We were to make "Bright & Cheery" cards so I colored my emu with rainbow of colors.
I saw that Susie Australia had made a card with this set of cute digi images by Crissy Armstrong at Whimsy Stamps. Whimsy is generously donating all the proceeds to the Bush Fire appeal for animals. So, of course, I had to get this wonderful set of stamps. Thanks for the inspiration Susie!
I colored and fussy cut out my images, then used Copic Blending solution with a washrag to create some texture on the koala and emu. I popped them up on my embossed background with 3D pop dots, then added Crystal Lacquer to their eyes.
Hopefully, this will bring some smiles to RaiLynn! Thank you to everyone sending her cards. I think this is her 4th 30 day stay at Mayo. Not fun!

Gracie, pack your bags and come on down under. We have many, many emu's that need a good paint job to lift their image! Your koala looks like the real thing and so does his lunch (the gum leaves). A wonderful creation my friend. I smile every time I scroll back for another look.

Gracie I agree with Susie, pack your bags and head on down. That emu is so darn cute. This card looks as though it’s come straight from Oz. Love it and I’m sure RaiLynn will too. It will surely brighten up her day. TFS. Happy day
