As with any community virtual or otherwise, you get comfortable in your own little corner. Today I decided to go exploring SCS. This year will be my 14th year on SCS but still found something NEW. Well, new to me. I found the Divine Design Bible Verse Challenge 2020. So of course I had to play along with that challenge as well as this week's MIX-Ability challenge. I sketched the heart by hand. I put a quarter down and traced it. I took a straight edge and I made 12 rays. 12 for the tribes of Isreal, 12 for the 12 disciples, 12 for the 12 months of the year. There was a lot I was thinking about. I was going for opposites day and night. On my night part of the card I did water color drips. I added "stars" by splattering paint as well as adding white gel pen dots and criss cross lines. I then Hand Lettered Psalm 113:3. (It has been about a year since I started doing hand lettering on my cards. I can see an improvement after a year of practicing. I have a long way to go, but making progress.) While I was making this card my son got a phone call and was offered a job. He has been looking for work for months. I would have praised God today no matter what, but I am especially praising him because of this provision. I hope you are at a place in your life that you can say that the name of the Lord is to be praised.

MariLynn, what a beautiful card of praise to our Father! And I love how you've created the heart with the 12's and their representations! Your lettering is beautiful, and I'm with Sabrina. I love this Scripture verse. And what a special blessing that your son was offered a much-needed job. I too have found this challenge and hope to take part soon. Hugs and love, precious friend and sister! xoxo
