I love to use crackle paste since it gives such a great texture. Here the sky was first painted lightly with acrylic paint and then crackle paste was added on top, not covering the background completely. Crackles appear as it dries. When dry, I added some color with more paint.
The sea was covered with mica flakes and when the gloss paste, holding the flakes in place, was dry I colored the flakes partly with alcohol ink.
The lighthouse was die cut from watercolor paper and colored with Scribble Sticks.
