the freedom we have in ART! Thank you, Technique Lovers Challenge and Jean for spotlighting Origami folding this week. Dina's video was helpful. There is some serious fold and pleating going on.
All the pleated folds reminded me of wild flowers. We have trilliums in bloom now and are always a joy to spot along our forest trails. They love filtered light.
I used a double sided paper from 'Bird Song'. It was a bit thick and didn't fold perfectly so I used an extra layer of glue in fold and used embossing powder to give it a stronger hold. A few stem die cuts, a worn ticket pointing to my ART is LOVE.
I enjoyed the process...my flower is not perfect...guess that just goes to show me to relax...none of life is! Thanks for your comments. Can't wait to see the gallery.

Love the extra embossing - even if it was for extra hold, it also looks fab. Almost like a chain, or stitching. And I love the felt flower with them, and whatever you used for your stems which could just be junk mail but could equally well be some lovely chiyogami paper.

I haven't tried the origami leaves yet, think you just inspired me to try it! You've created a wonderful trillium blossom and embellished your heART beautifully. You need to frame this one!!
