I made a wild, melted crayon background on white card stock by just melting the crayons and wiping with a kleenex until I got the look I wanted. Next, I stamped my flowers and used some clear ep as the black ink wasn't drying with the crayon bg. I am not sure I am digging the embossed look...but too late now.
I am also submitting this to the Dirty Dozen theme this month.."art from the heart" as messy stuff tends to follow me and I love making backgrounds. Most certainly, this is art from my heart!

I love the melted crayon background on this. I imagine it looks even better in person. I think I agree with you about the embossed background. The sentiment is wonderful.

Fantastic background. I can't imagine anything other than StazOn drying on a wax background, I'm not surprised you ended up having to emboss it. This has a fab vintage, grungy look. I really like it.
