I made this card for DonnaJeanne, this week's Teapot Challenge to give her some encouragement because she lost her husband just before Christmas. Also, her birthday is February 4. She likes flowers and purple. My gingham checks are on the inside with the sentiment. (See additional post).
This card also fits ABC challenge for letter "V": the color violet and CAS challenge: "Inspirational." Inside verse: "Each time we embrace a memory, we meet again with those we love...for the heart never forgets."
I colored my Iris with Copic markers and added highlights with my Prismacolor pencils and a white gel pen.

Bestsill my heart Gracie, this is one stunning card my friend. You have colored these iris's so they look positively ethereal my friend. I am truly impressed and I know Donna Jeanne will be too! ~Karen.

I'm stealing Karen's words....be still my heart. Gracie this is perfection on paper. I wouldn't be at all surprised if DonnaJeanne framed this as a special momento of her teaparty. Thank you so much for bringing this beautiful work of heART the teaparty for our special friend.
