I made this card for this week's Teapot Tuesday Challenge. This week, the cards are going to our very own SCS DonnaJeanne who lost her dear husband just before Christmas. Donna sent me a Teapot Tuesday card during Christmas week which just speaks volumes to me, and is very humbling knowing she did this while grieving a very recent loss.
This is the first card I have made in nearly 3 months and I have forgotten how to stamp! But, I am getting the hang of it again. The gingham panel is stamped with a background stamp so all the purple is perfectly matched. This is the first time I have used this stamp set and it has a bit of a artsy feel to it because the stamp layers do not line up perfectly. I was surprised by this, but I am getting used to it now.
My heart truly goes out to Donna Jeanne, and I am so glad we are sending her lots of paper hugs and love this week. Thanks for hosting this wonderful Teapot Party Susie and thanks for looking today. ~Karen.

Wow, what are the odds that I would come on just now, to see your lovely creation. I love all the matching color with the background gingham stamp to go with your irises. This gives me inspiration for those scalloped dies too. This will be a wonderfully comforting card for Donna. Glad you got some paper therapy goin' on with this, Karen. Faved!

Oh, good on you stamping your own gingham so it matches that Lovely Lilac, one of my all time favorite purples. I used the ink today, too, but my flower doesn't "match" my gingham paper. I'm going with "it coordinates" heehee! The Iris are so pretty stamped on that scalloped and stitched die cut.
