Ways to Use It Challenge hosted by Cathy - White Embossing
I needed to make a dozen thank you cards for my Card Club swap and had too many ideas rolling around in my head. LOL I knew I wanted to use purple because most of the ladies in the club really love that color and I hoped to use up some retired cardstock and ink. With that in mind, I typed purple & tote bag into Google search/images and found this one that sparked my interest:
The bag reminded me of the shaving cream technique. (You can find it in the SCS Tutorials if youâre not familiar with it.) I have tons of glossy photo paper that comes free with a combo pack of computer printer ink. So I tried it out with the technique and it worked okay. The results were varied from subtle to intense; this one was medium coverage. Nevertheless, I was able to use the backgrounds to create all the cards I needed. I kept the design simple to get the cards done. The Ways to use It Challenge motivated me to use white embossing for the sentiment which looked very nice with the background.
Great challenges ladies! TFL

That tote bag definitely reminds one of the shaving cream technique and your result is gorgeous Diane! The purples and blue in your card look spectacular! I hope the card recipients appreciate how special these cards are!
