Hello there, and thank you for visiting my gallery! My name is Denise, and I am a Midwestern girl, copy editor, Jazzercise instructor, and a cardmaker on the side!
Today I used Jennifer McGuire's technique of creating a striped die cut from strips of cardstock with the Hooray die from Honeybee. For the background, I used a Tim Holtz rays stencil with distress ink. I thought about masking off the rays individually when inking them to not overlap the colors, but I was lazy and decided not to. ;P I actually ended up liking how the colors mix though. Sometimes go-with-the-flow crafting results in unexpected surprises! The green piece is popped up with craft foam.
Hope this card inspires you!

What a fun and happy card. I really like the blend of colour in the rays, and in fact the bright non-sunshine colours. And of course the sentiment looks great. I always end up having to cut fresh "scraps" when it comes to techniques like this, because I tend to bin smaller scraps. Well done on being organised enough to have had yours ready to go.
