Hey Everyone, so today's project was a bit of challenge because I decided to take Nancy up on her offer and case one of my own cards. It was much more difficult than I thought lol!! Trying to get different ideas was one issue and trying to get time to work on it while my Lumbago was flaring up was another issue.
In the end I decided to case this card: A Friendly Hello by pawilliams at Splitcoaststampers
I thought it would be fun to change the seasons and see what the effect would be. I have to say I was really happy with the end result. I had sooooo much fun sponging my Whisper White ink over everything to give it a frosted look. And any chance to use my snow effect I'm all for ;O)
The changes I made:
* Day scene to Night scene
* Summer day to Winter night
* I changed the full tree to just branches
* Large sun to small moon
* I inked clouds
* Replaced the flowers & bushes with snow
* Instead of using the SU inks to colour the die-cuts I used the same colours in the card stock.
I'd like to thank Nancy again for choosing my gallery for the Featured Stamper this past week, it really was an honor and so much fun to see everyone's beautiful creations.
Have a safe and creative weekend Everyone,
Hugs

Beautiful, beautiful creation. I like both your cards but I like this winter season card sooooo much. Winter and Christmas cards are my favorites to make.

Gorgeous case of your own card, Patricia. You should put FS674 in the keywords so everyone knows where to find this nighttime, winter beauty. I love how you changed up your card and that well and the snow are fabulous. I hate you had issues with your Lumbago - back issues are never fun. Glad you finished it up though and showed us some more of your beautiful work. So glad you were the FS - I have been watching your gallery and was thrilled to get to select you! Hugz
