I started this project wanting to do the alcohol lift technique, but I must have either waited too long, or the glossy paper, (probably a photo paper) that I used didn't make the transfer onto the porous CS. Plan B: use black Zing sparkly EP over the images. I heat embossed the sentiment in white, which reads,"Paradise(par-uh-dahys,-dahyz) 1. a place of extreme beauty, delight or happiness." Popped it and the semi-wicked Wahini, up with dimensionals. She was colored with neon gel pens and Distress markers. Added a couple of embossed resist blue wavy scraps to the sides. The finishing touch is the little Mai Tai umbrella, protecting her alabaster skin. This will be a welcome back from Hawaii card for a dear family member.

Beautiful color! Great save on the images when the lift technique didn’t work. I luv when there’s a plan B to save the day and still have a beautiful card.

Great card! I love the bright colors. And I especially love your use of the paper umbrella. I have a bunch of those, but I never thought about using them on a card.

Fun, cheery card headed for paradise! Love the semi-wicked Wahine and her wonderful mai tai umbrella! Great save on your failed alcohol lift. I have trouble with "lifting" also. It looks so easy when I watch it online.
Loving this fun card!
