I made this card for 2 challenges Misti's challenge "Perfect Pantone" or Classic Blue and for Lisa's Ways to Use It "Shake it Up".
I've never had much success with shaker cards, but was determined to make one. Fellow stamper Kathy aka Muskrat made a card with SU Star Die set and, I loved it...so, of course, I had to have it. I decided today was the day to use it!
I cut 2 panels at one time with my star dies. I glued my acetate sheet between the 2 layers. I glued the die cut stars onto the acetate. Then, I layered this onto white card stock with sequins and micro beads inside, using 2 layers of 3D double sided adhesive strips. I glued this onto my blue card.
I used my Misti to stamp "Love" on a small piece of blue cs using VersaMark and heat embossing it in silver. I also took some stars that were cut out with my dies and embossed them in silver. I added the stars, some sequins and the sentiment to the front of the card.
Yay! I did and the shaker card worked! Thanks for a great challenge Lisa, taking me out of my comfort zone.
