Today’s fun Teapot Challenge is brought to us by Jacqueline and is all about the year of the rat. I’ve made a Happy New Year card that I will send to my sweet friend Christine, whom I haven’t seen in probably about a year, but I send her encouraging cards as often as I can. Life is so hectic andI may not have time to see all of my friends in person, but I am always thinking of them and sending cards helps me to let them know that. I’ve used this Bugaboo digi with a rat celebrating the New Year with his cat friend. I’ve used green, blue and gold. Also three layers on my card and two cute critters. SC189 was a good one for this challenge because all the layers are shifted slightly to the west—the direction of love in the year of the rat. I felt bored with my card when I finished it, so I die cut some gold hearts to spread around. Still a little flat and boring, so I printed out another image and fussy cut the balloon, party hat, and cupcake to pop up for some dimension. Now I’m happy, but I didn’t check off any of my resolution boxes today.
