It's my pleasure to host the 1st Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge of 2020! And we're headed to Murale Designs ..a place full of beautiful pictures, posters & patterns. THIS was my inspiration.
I was really struck by the colors & pattern of my inspiration picture so I tried to capture the high contrast patterns by stamping two different bg images w/ Distress Oxide ink onto black c/s. Wow! The mermaid lagoon color shows up great on black! I die cut the 3 panels, adding narrow strips of turquoise c/s on either side of the center panel & overlapping it on the two sides. It's added to a slightly larger turquoise panel & onto a lg black panel. The greeting was stamped w/ the same ink on the lower section. I wanted a little more contrast & came across a piece of semi-glossy card that had pinks & teals sponged onto it & was able to stamp the big rose image onto it & fussy cut it. I also cut out a couple of extra petals to have floating down.
Thanks so much for looking. It's on my blog w/ closeups & product links: The Write Stuff
