I got the inspiration for my card from this one I found on Pinterest. I liked the look of an inverted menorah pattern that the Stars of David created.
I opened a Star of David image I have in Photoshop to use as a pattern. I created a blank "canvas" sized to 5.5x4.25", and used the layout command to make a 10-column grid. I positioned the star image for the middle star on the middle grid line, and sized it to fit. Then I copied that layer, and moved the copied star over the lefmost column grid line, with the top point about 1.25" down from the top of the canvas. I sized that star slightly smaller, then copied that layer 7 more times, and moved each of those stars into place. I also used the line tool to draw a line down each of the column grid lines to the stars to guide my stitching later. Finally, I printed my pattern onto the back of my A2 white cardstock panel.
I used my paper piercer to poke holes at each corner of the stars, as well as along the straight lines going up to the top of the panel. I used pearl cotton to stitch the stars, and silver thread to stitch along the straight lines. I stamped & heat embossed my greeting with silver powder, and then adhered my panel to a white card base. Super simple card to pull together!
