I loved the Renaissance Ribbons site Brenda found for us today and found it all inspiring. This image is what I chose: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/123778689743252487/
I actually fell down the rabbit hole looking at, and printing out, some patterns for things to make with ribbons, as I have a lovely vintage collection that I hardly ever use.
I laid these handmade paste paper strip scraps onto the sticky backside of a mailing label. Ran it through the Cuttlebug with a dotty EF. The way it turned out reminded me of farmland, so I chose these images, colored with alcohol markers and cut them by hand and by machine. Oh, I wish I could make another as I adore how this one turned out, but each BG is different. The old adage of "Fruits of our labor" turned into veggies today.

Another surprise as I read your description - paper piecing while I was thinking washi tape. Love how the vibrant bg stands in juxta position to your sepia toned hard working couple . . .it makes me think of old tintypes of my grandparents.

I knew right away this was a Lori creation. Love how your pieced paper looks like farmland. And of course you have the perfect farmers! I learn something new from you with every one of your creations.

I love how you used those paper scraps and embossed them. It does look like farmland. Great and very creative card. I like your couple, also.
