Our Christmas Eve is an open house. We serve drinks, a buffet, and start at 6 and go to whenever. One year, when DD was 2 or 3, a neighbor came dressed as Santa, and walked in around midnight yelling Ho, Ho, Ho. He woke DD up, and it took us until 3 AM to get her settled and back to sleep, so that we could bring out presents and stuff stockings. That Christmas day, pictures of us looked like we had been run over by Santa's sleigh and ALL 8 of his reindeer.
Since I am done with Christmas cards, this just has a funny saying inside, to go to one of the grands.
"I'm staying home today. I have MOOD poisoning."

Sounds like a perfect way to spend Christmas Eve! (Except for that one when you were up all night--great story though!) I cooked a turkey dinner for 16 people. It was just lovely. But I laughed at hubby when he told someone we had a nice relaxing, laid back Christmas Eve.
