Such wonderful things to see on this week's Inspiration site. I chose THIS for my inspiration.
I don't make a lot of cards just for New Year's..since I feel the wishes are already included in the Christmas card. But like the tags I made last week, I'm making one this year. The big greeting was silver embossed on a circle die cut. Then I made a couple of star cut outs on the white panel. Die cut smaller stars out of white & silver to have sit inside. The front & stars are elevated a bit w/ some fun foam & I added some silver cord to hang the stars.
I saw a question on a FB group last week where someone asked if anyone still had a paper crimper & if they still use it. I said I did, so I guess I had to prove it by using it on the metallic silver band & circle. The last little outline star was left over after cutting the stars, so I silver embossed it & added it.
Thanks so much for looking. It's on my blog w/ closeups & product links: The Write Stuff

Oh, I like the use of your crimper for this beautiful card. I always love stars...one of my faves. The silver is really pretty.

Such a pretty new year's card - The silver and white are so pretty and I love the cascading stars caught in their tiny star shaped windows. Just beautiful.

Julie, this is gorgeous! The first thing I thought of was Christmas cookies when I saw this. This is so elegant! You could also add this to the Fan Club theme for December.

Love those silver starfish! Your card is wonderful with the stars inside stars, and the crimping is such a great addition for texture! Favd.

I wonder where my crimper is. Love that you used it. And I love what you did with your inspiration. I'm very partial to NY cards, don't know why. Maybe because it's a worldwide holiday and most celebrate it in some way. Nothing particularly religious about it. Stars are my favorite thing to use in creations.
