I didn't want to just use coloured cs for my die cut pieces as it looks so flat. Instead, I wanted the dimension and variation in colour that smooshing would give me. Using scraps of watercolour paper and various Distress inks, I smooshed browns for the wreath, greens for the greenery, and red for the birds and bow, and then die cut all the pieces.
I stamped my sentiment in brown on a stitched circle die cut, and assembled the wreath, etc. I used fun foam under the circle to add more dimension on a red card base.
