Some one please pull me away from the Courtly Check section of today's inspiration site - MacKenzie-Childs!! I've spent all morning making 3 inspired cards!
I used a Check Mate Stencil to make my checks on white card stock and then die cut the deer out of it. I die cut just the antlers and ears again out of metallic gold paper and layered it over the check.
The holly is from a Lawn fawn set and the sentiment is the bottom of a tag, both listed in accessories. The Nordic frame die is from the Greetery.
I have two other cards in the gallery all Courtly Checkered!!
Thanks for the lovely site today Julie!

I really considered doing something with one of the checked ornaments but knew my friends and family would thing I had totally lost it . . . . love how you brought this together (even to stenciling your own check) with the gold antlers & ears and the bit of whimsey with the holly embellie.

Those black and white checkerboard items drew my attention right away on that site, and your cards are amazing the way you have used that pattern in such wonderful ways on your three cards.
