I kept the layers but changed it to vertical instead of horizontal. I used terricotta tile with the purple instead of the green.
I cut and added the mug to the center of the card. I stamped the sentiment and added it to the card with dimensionals. I cut out the seaweed from velllum, then cut part of it off. What was left looked like steam to me, so I added it to the cup. I added the ribbon and a bow.

I really like that sentiment to go with your gingham cup and the steam looks great.
