I turned the sketch 180 degrees. Panel #3 was done with a Scor-Pal and the score lines highlighted with pencil. The slender #6 panel became a bushy pine bough complete with pine cones.
The pines cones were made with a new die set from the Greetery. Betsy Veldman is a wizard at creating stacked dies for a realistic look. She did a hen-and-chick last spring and now has done a pine cone. These are the most realistic looking pine cone dies that I have seen. I colored them with watercolors and white acrylic.
My Christmas cards have been mailed, so it is time to work on some thank yous for the season.

This goes without even having to type it, another Sallie card in my favorites. Those snow-covered pine cones are amazing. I love the subtle scoring lines as you vertical elements as well.

LOVE IT!!!! I had a migraine the day these came out & missed them by the time I remember they had gone live. BUT, they ARE the dies to have this season, so I WILL be getting them when they're restocked soon. You did a SUPER JOB with them! LOVE the snow on them! GORGEOUS WORK!!!! ;)<3

I must say, those pine cones are very realistic! I've been looking at their site! Your card is gorgeous and I love the score lines as a panel, creative. I love your work Sallie.
