Thank you, Judy for bringing us a very talented member of our community. I am so happy to see Kia is this weeks' Featured Stamper! Your work is so crisp, sharp, and clean. Even when you use 'messy' art techniques! I had quite a long stroll through your gallery, Kia.
The CAS this week is bring Snowflakes and a new technique by our hostess, Lee. I ask for grace, challenge police (smile)...I admit to seeing the word Snowflakes and ran with it. I promise I'll give your technique a try this week.
It was this Let it Snow card that sparked my imagination. I used Tim's big snowflake ef, spraying my mixed media paper with water and dry embossed. Once dry, I rubbed several different silvers, whites, and pearls over the panel. The butterflies were cut with the Sizzix Tim Holtz Butterfly dies. To create my vanilla base, I used The Greetery Snowflake Stencils which include two patterns in one package. It was sprayed with a Mr Huey 'Shine'. And then the second stencil was overlaid the first and inks with VersaMagic 'Cloud White'. I stamped the sentiment onto a light grey base and embossed with the Ranger Mixed Media 'Bone'. The butterflies were bent and ruffled in different directions for dimension.
Kia, enjoy your week in the SCS spotlight as Featured Stamper, you have a gorgeous style and a kind and gentle heart! Thanks for stopping by.

Your card is gorgeous and love that you explained what you did! Love how you embossed so e of your flakes before putting them on your card. Nicely done, Susan.
