I bought my first artificial tree this year...and now I plan on keeping it up from August till March...haha...Sunflowers, something else for October...then christmas ornaments,...then snowy winter wonderland...Yeah, this is going to be great to have a large tree up for months and months.
For this card I used some washi with a forest behind Santa...and I used a stick from an old stampin up set...to make a holiday branch...aka yule log...and decorated it with bling and ornaments! A little holly in the corner makes a sweet little detail!

This is such a sweet card. The washi tape is perfect. I know someone that leaves their Christmas tree up year round. She changes the decorations for each season/holiday. It's beautiful.

What a fab gem spray and sweet ornaments.
You'll have fun with your all-year-almost tree. About three years ago I was too tired to think about buying a tree and setting it up - and on the way to work one morning a neighbour was pruning his birch tree so I begged a couple of branches from him. I trimmed one to a good size to fit in a big vase which I filled with sand, and hung my most special ornaments on it for Christmas that year. It's still in the bay window, with changing decor according to the season and some all-year favourites.

I had a tres expensive artificial tree for more than 40 years!! It was still fab, but I gave it away to a friend, thus no tree at all for us any more. When you get old, the taking out and putting up, and taking down is too much to even think about!! Enjoy your (year-round) tree for many years. That card is really great. Love all the colors and ornaments!

That gem encrusted branch as focal point is just plain fun! Perhaps it's the layout - Perhaps the fun washi - but this card makes me think of the old-fashioned antique cards I found in my grandmothers attic years ago. - Nicely done.

Love, love, this, Dawn! Our most fav tree was the year we ‘drug’ home a fallen branch from Lake Tahoe. Strung red pepper lights and everyone thought we were so avant guard! It was the best we could afford.

Are u really keeping it up all year?? I guess if I had room, I might do that. Your card has so many pretty elements. Especially like the shape of the focal point.
