I made this card for this week's Teapot Challenge. Jean (naturecoastcrafter) is our guest hostess and she has a wonderful challenge for us to use feathers.
I die cut the feathers, then sponged on blueprint sketch and peacock feathers distress inks using a makeup brush. I used a paint brush to add the golden glacier paste to the ends of the feathers. I added 6" wide sook wong tape to the top panel, then die cut this using a stitched rectangle die. Removed the top protective sheet from the sook wong tape, and carefully placed the feathers. Then I poured warm diamonds glitter all over the top panel and feathers to fill in the areas of exposed adhesive. I rubbed the glitter in with my finger. Added a gold heat embossed sentiment to go with the large sentiment die that is layered up a couple of times. This was a really fun card to make so thank you for this wonderful challenge Jean and thank you for looking! I hope everyone has a very safe and happy Thanksgiving this year too! ~Karen.

So are you wearing your glitter now? That's what happens when I attempt using it. This is so cool and what a fabulous design Karen. I love the ombre look of the feathers and then you have them tipped in gold....wow. Happy Thanksgiving to you!

Love the vibrant colors of the feathers, and the gold just makes it look rich. It just pops off the screen. Fantastic creation. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.

Who knew blueprint sketch could look so good - it's my least favourite of the TH blues, generally. Love the gold on them - and that amazing glitter background.
