MMTPT - 12 Days of Christmas - fun idea! Challenge - Use as many as possible of the 12 items on the list to make a Christmas card for Jacqueline who moved into an assisted living facility.
Alphabet Challenge - Letter C - Candy cane, Christmas theme
This stamp/image is special to me as it brings back childhood memories of opening stocking gifts on Christmas morning with my family and also fond memories of watching our kids have fun with their Christmas stockings. I always make at least one card each year with this image. This is the first one for 2019.
I was able to use 9 items from the list: red, green, gold (fastener), silver (sequins), other colors (blues, pink, brown), holly leaves, presents in the stocking (the teddy bear and candy cane), texture, one more thing not on the list - sparkle!
I colored the image with Blends Markers which bleed through the Whisper White a little bit so I could see parts of image on the reverse side. So, I turned the image upside down and used my stylus over some areas: the dots on the stocking, the berries & holly leaves, heart. Doing that raised the areas to create a bumpy feel on the image. Also, I put Crystal Effects on the button and candy cane for more texture. Sparkle comes from sequins and WOS on the bow & berries. Fun challenge!

This is adorable Diane and I love the story you shared with us. Jeannies mum is sure to see all the heart that went into creating this. I love how you combined the challenges....you definitely get extra cookies. Thanks so much for coming to the teaparty.

Cute vintage image and beautiful soft colouring. I think old-school stockings which were just small fun things were so much better than what kids expect now. We used to get so excited by ours, and I'm sure there was nothing high-value in them. I still remember the year we all got little mini-decks of Peanuts playing cards, for example. And always a big orange in the toe.
It sounds really neat the way you were able to use the bleed-through as a guide for embossing - that certainly gets you Susie's points for texture.
